DHA Research Included In: STEM Integration In K-12 Education!
In the summer of 2011, the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and National Research Council (NRC) established a committee "to craft a research agenda for determining the value—in terms of student achievement, motivation, career aspirations, and other factors—of integrated K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (iSTEM) education in the United States." David Heil & Associates, Inc. (DHA) conducted a set of research activities to inform and support the work of the committee, including conducting a review of the research literature in K-12 iSTEM education, informal iSTEM education, and the cognitive sciences; reviewing iSTEM curriculum and programs; and conducting interviews with a broad range of stakeholders, including selected materials developers, practitioners, policy makers, and administrators.
The results of these collective efforts have been published as STEM Integration In K-12 Education: Status, Prospects, And An Agenda For Research.
